I grew up, born and raised in Middletown, Ohio. I, for the most part, grew up in people's Place Apartments. That was a huge part of my childhood. I lived there until probably graduation. That was the place to be growing up. People's Place was everything.

I was kind of reflecting not too long ago, that it had everything. You had all of the other kids to play with, so you never needed to go outside of people's place. We had a park to play in. It was just every summer, we were just out, we were there, and we had so much fun. It was such a good time. There's so many families that have come out of people's place and have gone on to successes.

We would have so much fun at the high school. That's where we formed long-term relationships that we still have today.

We were cheering on our team, win or lose, we were having a ball. It was all about being a Middie. It doesn't get any better than being a Maddie.
