Alexia brings her expertise in leadership and organizational development to her role on the Board at A Picture’s Worth. A consultant and sought-after coach, Alexia embraces learning and curiosity as she guides individuals and communities to map out their personal and professional “high roads”.
Viann Barnett
Board Vice President
Viann brings her commitment to community power and her deep expertise in social service and social justice work to the A Picture’s Worth Board. She serves as the Managing Director of Recovery Services for HER (Housing, Education, Recovery) Cincinnati, where her leadership and innovation have shaped programs and life journeys.
Julie Collinsworth
Board Treasurer
Julie brings deep experience in nonprofit and for-profit work to guide and energize the Board of A Picture’s Worth. An MBA who currently consults for a wide range of clients on strategy, marketing and design work, Julie’s passion for community voice shines through in her life, both in and outside of work.
Julian Collins
Board MEMBER
Julian Collins works at Interact for Health focusing on community engagement and relationships. He also designs vibrant menswear as Julian Creates and is a sewing expert, educator, and active member of the online sewing community.
Phuongloan Vo, PhD, LISW-S
Board MEMBER
Phuongloan Vo, PhD, LISW-S is an adjunct instructor at University of Cincinnati School of Social Work and serves as an editorial peer reviewer for various social work journals. She maintains a private practice in Cincinnati, OH, providing treatment for individuals and couples with mental health needs related to trauma, mood disorders, life transitions as well as experiences of marginalization and oppression. Her clinical and research interests include lived experiences of immigrants and people with marginalized identities, dynamic cross-cultural treatment, and clinical social work education and training.
Alena O’Donnell
Board MEMBER
Ibo people of Nigeria say, “Until lions have their own historians, tales of the hunt will glorify the hunter.” Alena bloomed at SCPA and Walnut Hills during her schooling years. She pursued her dream of dancing at Hofstra University and later returned to Cincinnati to become a mother. With a career spanning 25+ years in various industries, Alena currently serves as Vice President of Inclusion & Belonging at Women Helping Women, an organization whose mission is to prevent gender-based violence. The Ibo quote serves as a reminder that telling our own stories must be encouraged for us all to thrive.

President and Co-Founder, A Picture’s Worth
Elissa is a lifelong learner, leader and educator. Her background in journalism and education has led her on a rich career journey through corporate and nonprofit America. She is an experienced writer and editor, serving in top roles in and outside of academia. A seasoned nonprofit founder, she co-founded A Picture’s Worth to marry her passions for creative disruption of outdated systems, equity, community engagement and, through this work, to spark narrative change.
Brittany Holmes
Communications Strategist
Brittany's track record of success in communications and operations, paired with her fervent commitment to community-driven initiatives, enriches the A Picture’s Worth team immensely. An advocate for diversity in STEM fields, she dedicates her time to organizations focused on expanding STEM career opportunities for young women. Her involvement is key to advancing our organization's mission—creating strong community bonds, deepening understanding, and championing positive change by leveraging communal strengths and possibilities.
Amanda Bollman
Narrative Change Agent
Amanda Bollman is a public ally through Americorps partnering with A Picture’s Worth. She graduated from NKU with a BFA in integrative media painting and photography. She is a single mother who finds power in her obstacles. On this journey she has learned a lot; one thing remaining consistent. She just wants to utilize her skills and lived experience to be of service.
