Lindsay Roberts: Pride in Family, Service and Community

Lindsay Roberts values acceptance and understanding. The Air Force veteran works at the VA and is a mom of children with disabilities as well as a member of the LGBTQ community. During her time in the Air Force, Lindsay had to keep her relationship with Laura, who is now her wife, secret. As she works as a primary care social worker living in small rural community, Roberts continues to fight for equality on multiple fronts. In the photo she selected for Ohio Values, she stands next to her wife and their two sons at the first Pride Parade they attended in Columbus, Ohio.
