ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPH:

“I chose this image because it is one that reflects a piece of my heart. One of my favorite things in the world to do is to be in the air, to be flying or in route to some type of travel. It's a very serene place. And when you think of underprivileged neighborhoods, and you think about the people who are around and who look like me, they don't travel as often, or they don't get the opportunity to do it as often, especially those who live in this particular neighborhood. I always try to encourage people and let them know is it is possible. It does not matter where you are from, it is always possible to get out and travel. If you plan for it, you can do it. One of my favorite places to be is in the sky, because it gives you a different perspective.”
