ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPH:
“ I think this picture says a lot about my time at Roll Hill School. I was dressed up as Cat in the Hat for World Literacy Day, another staff member at the school was really into it and organized a whole day of events. And one of the things one of the highlights of the day was predicated on me dressing up as the Cat in the Hat to get kids excited about, not only the day, but to get excited about reading, in general.
It shows that we're all doing creative and wonderful things. And we're coming together to support the now and the future. This Literacy Day kind of personifies that. And seeing the kids look up to me in this picture, like physically looking up from from sitting on the ground, for me being the Cat in the Hat, like they were a captive audience and I know like through the good works that we're doing here in East Westwood, we're growing an even more captive audience. And it's really exciting when our young people are part of part of that change and part of that crew and looking forward for all things that are coming East Westwood's way.”
