From the interview:
“I have been a resident of Roselawn for about 30 years. I purchased a home in 2001.”
“Just like today’s times, actually, the image of our urban public schools was not the best. However, our (Woodward High School) basketball team defeated all odds and went on to become state champions. . I was a student in CAMAS, which is the Cincinnati Academy of Math and Science. The CAMAS program was, and still is, one of the better programs for students interested in the STEM technologies.”
“I love my neighborhood. . . it is one of the most convenient neighborhoods. It is very walkable neighborhood, and very accessible to all of the major thoroughfares . . . You can get anywhere in 30 minutes.”
NOTE: In 1988, the year of the photo on this page, the Woodward High School boys’ basketball team was the first Cincinnati Public School sports team to win a state title.
