“When I moved I came from Eller Street, that used to be a place in the West End. And then we moved up in Lincoln Courts. I went to St. Joseph and I was a graduate of Taft and also went to UC. For a while. I was part of a lot of the community programs in the West End, working from the library. I also had a time period when I was helping out at the church, collecting baskets, and things that fix for the homeless people in the community and the people who want the church there. My biggest memory of the West End is that I always remembered everybody, there was always so concerned about the people that live there.

The best thing about this area is we have a lot of good positive history here. There is so much background in this area that needs to be passed on to generation, because we are people of legend and vision.”
