The West End

KELONI PARKS

“I am the branch manager of the West and branch library. My father grew up in in Lincoln Court when he was very young. And then also my mother's hairdresser was located in the West End. Her business was torn down with the FC stadium construction. I also had aunt who lived at Stanley Rowe houses, and a friend who lived on Dayton Street. Lots of connections, various connections throughout my life.

Our branch is pretty small. But we're very active. We use every inch of this branch. And we have to be extremely creative. I think that that is a reflection also of the West End. It's a reflection of our customers and their needs. So yeah, we you know, we make every little bit work.

I just want all these kids to know what opportunities are available to them, and be able to pursue them. And I want us and all the various community partners to make that possible. So I think that's the main the main thing, I don't want, I don't want them to be limited, you know. You know, they want them to be able to actually if, if they have dreams to be able to pursue those dreams.”
