MIDDIE PRIDE

SUPPORTING KIDS

Kimberly Patterson

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPH:

I’ve lived in Middletown for 62 years. I graduated in 1980. And my son attended Middletown High School, and he was a field commander for three years for the mid 80s. Oh, I was proud. I was proud to be a Middie Mom at the time. And I am still a Middie. I live in Middletown. I live across the street from Rosa Parks. I love when school is here, just the noise of the kids. I come home from lunch just to hear the noise of the kids. I work with the public for a nonprofit organization. We have a lot of people that come to Middletown from all over. And I tell everybody that Middletown is a good school, and Middletown is a good city to raise your children. I mean, you have your parents always supporting their kids. I just think it's a strong city when it comes to pride.
