ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPH:

“This picture represents what used to be a vision in our East Westwood community. Here at third Presbyterian Church we vision having a community garden. So what happened was, there was a home right across the street from a vacant home, which we purchased and we were able to tear the home down and we built the land, we smoothed the land out. We've got we've we started off with a just all land and we built nine beds, nine beds, nine bed gardens, and in his community garden, we are able to grow our own vegetables are all vegetables we have grown so far this year."

we grow everything I take all the vegetables home and I wash them up in my sink and I take them back to the church and I will give the vegetables out at the after service on Sundays and then take the vegetables downstairs to the recreation center. So the children can take the vegetables home so their mom and they can all cook some healthy meals together.”
