ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPH:

“My name is Marcus Johnson. I'm originally from Washington, DC, and I moved to Cincinnati area. The picture that I used was a picture of all the father figures and males in my family. Family means a real a lot to me. And here it shows my grandfather on my mom's side, my grandfather on my dad's side, all my uncles. And it just shows that man figuring my family means a lot. And here's my picture. Yeah, I said it goes back six generations. Wow. So it's amazing how this picture, as you can see, it's amazing. Family means a lot to me, and it just so everybody in my family, they've been married for over 25 years, and it's just that power of a man and wife and just it means a lot to me. For me, it's really about black males and father figures and everybody in my family males went to college and very successful. So it just shows anything can be done, and when you put your mind to it, you can Do anything you want to.”
